BISHOP GLEN T. PROSPERE

Doctor  Glen T. Prospere

Doctor Glen T. Prospere was born on the beautiful island of Montserrat, in the West Indies.  He is the first of six children and was educated in the Caribbean, first at St. John’s Primary School and graduated from Montserrat Secondary (High) School before migrating to the United States in 1980.

He has been married to his beautiful wife, Pauline for almost 32 years and this union has produced three beautiful children, Natalie, Lee, and Martin. From 1982 through 1996 Glen Prospere was an employee of the Boston Bank of Commerce (now known as One United Bank). By the time he left the bank, he was the Assistant Vice President of Operations and Internal Security Officer. Doctor Prospere began his mental health career as the Director of the Dorchester Bay Recovery Center, where he conducted daily group therapy for several years. He later served as the Clinical Team Leader and training specialist for Vinfen Corporation’s Fuller/Baycove Community Rehabilitation Services (CRS), and later, as the Team Clinician for South End Community Health Center, CBFS.  He has also served on several community boards:  The Caribbean Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and the Mayor’s Commission on Hunger for several years.  He is also a 1992 recipient of the prestigious Black Achiever’s Award and in 2013 received the community service award from Montserrat Progressive Society of New York.

Doctor Prospere is a member of the College of African American Pentecostal Bishops and has been the Senior Pastor of Full Life Gospel Center in Dorchester for over 22 years. He was consecrated to the office of Bishop in 2002. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Bachelor and Masters Degree in Biblical Studies, and Bachelors, Masters and PhD in Psychology Degrees. He is also the recipient of an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree. 

Doctor Prospere is Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and currently serves as a full-time Professor and Human Services Department Chair at Massasoit Community College. He teaches Human Service subjects, such as psychology, substance abuse, group dynamics, death and dying, and mental health, among others.He is also a consultant/supervisor at Lamour Counseling, Randolph MA. He is an accomplished musician and songwriter, who plays several instruments.  Doctor Prospere gives God all the glory for his many educational and professional accomplishments and believes that they are ultimately for the advancement of God’s Kingdom and purpose.
